Chinese Shar-Pei Club of Tampa Bay

The Chinese Shar Pei Club of Tampa Bay was started in 1985 by breed enthusiasts and has gone from strength to strength. It has 2 regional specialty shows a year in January and July and in 2008 the club is working on not only its 2009 regional specialty shows but also a number of Shar-pei days where all who own and love the breed can attend. In 2000 the Tampa club had the honor of hosting the CSPCA national specialty. Some photos from the week long event can be seen on our 2000 Nationals page.

Members of the Tampa club also manned the first meet the breed booth at the inaugural Eukenuba Classic show in Orlando also winning a coveted best booth in group that year.

Membership is yearly and information on joining the club can be found on our membership page. We are currently doing some web site updates and will have an online membership application available shortly. Currently we have a printable Membership application.

The club also promotes and supports breed rescue as can be seen on our Rescue page. The number of dogs coming into rescue has been phenomenal this year and the Florida Shar-pei rescue and its volunteers have been stretched to its limits but still continue to make sure that no Shar-pei needing help is left behind. They are also desperately in need of donations not only of money but of foster homes and anyone willing to donate time to the rescue.
